Namita Thapar was born on 21 March 1977 in Pune, Maharashtra. She belongs to a Gujarati family. She is the daughter of an Indian businessman named Satish Mehta. Her mother’s name is Bhavna Mehta. Namita Thapar also has a younger brother named Samit Mehta, who serves as the president of R&D of Emcure Pharmaceuticals.

Namita completed her education in Pune, Maharashtra. She was a very meritorious student from the beginning of her academic life. Namita was also the topper of her class in 12th standard.

After finishing high school, Namita got enrolled at Savitribai Phule Pune University and finished her bachelor’s degree. She also completed her degree in Chartered Accountancy from ICAI.
